Our contest this coming weekend will be a one day contest, Saturday only. Pilots meeting 845 and flying starts at 9.
Greetings NC Pilots!
The start of contest season is only two weeks away and it's time to plan your schedule and get signed up for contests. It's very helpful to the CD if you sign up ahead of time. Planning food, judging, setting up the AeroJudge system and other tasks are made easier when you sign up ahead of time.
Our first contest is May 23-24 in Columbus OH area, CD Kurt Koelling.
You can find the entire schedule on our region home page. Looking forward to a fun and competitive year with all of you!
Greetings NC Pilots,
Here is the invite for the Online Judging Seminar Part 2 - Please attend!
Dave
Greetings NC,
Our online judging seminar is April 15 and April 22, at 7pm. Please attend!
The meeting invite:
We need many, many more of you to sign up for the judging seminar beginning April 15! This is the best way to improve your judging skills aside from reading the redbook. We will have some practical exercises to go along with lecture period.
Welcome to Bruce Wrench who has agreed to serve as ARD for the NC region representing Canada! Thanks for serving Bruce!
I just entered the Tompkins Aerodrome Throwdown into the schedule for September 12-13. Get signed up!
Please also indicate your interest in the dates for the Judging seminar. I strongly encourage everyone in the region to attend!!!
Greetings North Central!
Time to start thinking about flying!
I just finished initial entry of the remaining contests on the new website, flyimac.org. Start signing up!
And time to get that airplane checked out: fuel system, batteries, electronics (antennae!), bolts.
If you haven’t trimmed your plane, consider checking CG and mixes. Settings mixes for straight up and down lines plus knife edge helps a lot. There are several guides for this.
We have several members going to the International Judging Seminar this coming weekend and there will be an online seminar for our region in April. The rule book and shortcut judging sheet are available on the website.
We may also have a Primer in early May in Cincinnati area.
Post a comment if you have questions!
We are now using the new website for posts, information, contest setup and signup and everything else IMAC!
Please let us know if you find issues using the website, we want it to be very user friendly.
The NC 2026 Contest schedule is set and I will be adding the contests in the next day or two. Once they are added, you can sign up for them. Earlier the better as the CDs always have planning to do that changes with the level of attendance. The schedule is already posted on Facebook.
We are very excited to have 3 Canadian contests this year, IMAC is back in the Great White North! If you are a USA pilot, you can compete up north but there things to resolve before you can fly an RC Aircraft in Canada, let me or one of our Canadian pilots know if you need help navigating these issues.
If you are in the Kentucky/West Virginia/Wisconsin/Minnesota areas, we would love to find a way for you to join us, contact me and let me know you are interested.
Welcome to the North Central Region of International Miniature Aerobatic Club (IMAC).
Whether you’re brand new to IMAC, returning after some time away, or a long-time competitor, we’re glad you’re here. IMAC is built around precision aerobatics, good sportsmanship, and a strong community of pilots who enjoy flying and learning together.
We’re also excited to share that the new IMAC website is now live.
