    We will survive!

Even though Mother Nature has taken her best swing at us over the last four contests, the South Central spirit is still very much alive. Storms, flooded fields, and unpredictable weather have forced several cancellations, but they haven’t slowed down the passion, skill, and dedication this region is known for. Every pilot, CD, and club has shown resilience, patience, and a commitment to keeping our season moving forward.

There is plenty of flying left in the 2026 season, and the calendar ahead is packed with opportunities to get back in the air, reconnect with friends, and keep sharpening those sequences. Whether you’re chasing points, shaking off the rust, or just enjoying a weekend at the field, the upcoming contests are ready for you. The setbacks we’ve had don’t define our season—they just make the good weekends even better.

So keep your heads up, keep your batteries charged, gas tanks full, and join us at a contest soon. The South Central region thrives because of its pilots, and your presence on the flightline is what makes every event worth hosting. We’ll see you at the Fort Worth Thunderbirds RC field June 27 & 28 for some fun!

Welcome to the 2026 SC IMAC season!

We had a great time at the Jetero contest. Had a good turnout of pilots to battle the wind on Saturday. The weather was as good as you could ask for, mild temps and a good stiff breeze to keep you cooler, if that was your wish :)

Unfortunately, mother nature decided we were not going to fly there this year by providing 20-30 mph winds gusting to over 40, was the prediction so, we canceled the contest.

Next up is the 16th Annual MMRCC IMAC Challenge, let’s all get signed up and go see Jim Barfield and Jason Watts at their home field the weekend of May 2nd.
